We’re all thinking it!

The biggest night in television took place in Los Angeles last night, the 76th Emmy Awards.

Hollywood's best known father-son duo hosted the show, Schitt’s Creek stars Eugene and Dan Levy.

In the opening monologue, Eugene acknowledged that The Bear was nominated for 23 Emmys and made a jab at the show controversially being placed in the comedy category year after year.

"The Bear is nominated for 23 Emmys tonight, making it the most nominated comedy in history," the 77-year-old actor opened with.

“Now, I love the show, I love the show, and I know some of you will be expecting us to make a joke about whether The Bear is really a comedy. But in the true spirit of 'The Bear,' we will not be making any jokes."

The father son duo made many jokes throughout the night, and reflected on their time working together on Schitt’s Creek.

“It's good to be back by your side," Eugene told Dan on stage.

"You know, this is a very special night for me. I've played a lot of dads in my day. I was a dad in American Pie. I was the dad in Finding Dory, our show Schitt's Creek.”

“But without question, my most rewarding dad role ever has been being your dad... in Schitt's Creek. Because it got me my first acting Emmy."
