The 2023 Emmys Nominations came out last night and there were some very clear front runners.
The awards show is in its 75th year and celebrates the best in television shows of the last year.
So it wasn’t a big surprise then when some of the most talked about shows of the last year came out on top.
Succession lead the way with a staggering 27 nominations in total for its final season. Or front runners were The Last Of Us, Ted Lasso and The White Lotus.
Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin and Brian Cox are all up against each other to win Outstanding Leading Actor in a Drama Series, and Sarah Snook got her nod in the Leading Actress category.
Shows that weren’t either The White Lotus or Succession didn’t even get a look in in the supporting actors categories 😂

And of course we’re always on the lookout for Irish interest when these awards show nominations come around!
Sharon Horgan continues to do us proud as she earned a nomination in the Outstanding Writing In A Drama Series for Bad Sisters, alongside co-writers Brett Bauher and Dave Finkel. Dearbhla Walsh was nominated for her work directing the show.
And Wexford man Declan Lowney, who has been involved in shows like Father Ted and Little Britain back in day, has been nominated in the Best Director for a Comedy Series category for his work on Ted Lasso!
We know who we’re rooting for, who do you think should win?
