It may be a while until we get new episodes, but a Derry Girls book is on the way.
Lisa McGee, the creator of the hit Channel 4 series, has written a new book from the perspective of main-character Erin.
Tiled 'Erin's Diary', the novel will be released this November.
Speaking to Stylist about the book, McGee said: "I’m thrilled to be able to share our first ever official Derry Girls Book with the world. Erin’s Diary was such a joy to write. I loved spending time with these characters again.
"The book will reveal some new information about old events as well as some brand new antics from Erin and the gang – hopefully, it will keep fans laughing until series three hits the screen."
Saoirse Monica Jackson, who plays Erin Quinn in the comedy series, has recorded a video promoting the book's release.
In the clip, Erin reads an excerpt from the book, as she pretends she's giving a speech after winning The Nobel Prize for Literature.
Erin's Diary will be released on November 12th, 2020.
