Great news for Colin Farrell and Batman fans all round!
The Penguin, a spin-off series of the 2022 The Batman film, is being released later this year and fans in Ireland will be able to watch it.
Sky announced that it has acquired the rights to stream the HBO Max series in the UK & Ireland in what’s being called “one of its biggest deals in months”.

The spin-off series will see Colin Farrell reprise his role as the DC Comics villain Oswald Cobblepot aka 'The Penguin'.
The Dublin actor is also one of the executive producers on the series.
Speaking to Deadline, Katie Keenan, Sky's Group Director of Acquisitions, described The Penguin as "arguably DC's answer to The Sopranos".
"The Penguin will add to our roster of tentpole shows as we aim to provide our customers with the best US programming in addition to our impressive lineup of Sky original TV series and films," she added.
We don’t have an official release date for The Penguin series yet but we do know it’s part of HBO Max’s autumn releases and we’ll get to watch it at the same time as our friends in the US.
