Two stars have quit the much-anticipated celebrity version of The Traitors, just weeks before filming was due to begin.

Daisy May and Charlie Cooper have pulled out of the show. The sibling duo, known for their hit BBC series This Country, reportedly had to step down two weeks ago due to pressing family concerns.

A source said: “Daisy May and Charlie were so excited about taking part but once the demands of the show became clear Daisy had to sadly accept it would be tough as a mum-of-three.

“The Traitors cast has to be completely off grid and can’t be on FaceTime every night, or nipping to see their children on a day off filming.

“Everyone tried to make it work but Daisy obviously has to put her family first.”

Daisy, 38, is mother to Pip, five, and Jack, three, with her ex husband Will Weston and welcomed Benji in June with boyfriend Anthony Huggins.

With the Coopers out, it has left the BBC with a sibling-shaped hole to fill. The Traitors consider a related duo integral to the game, as the last three seasons of the show have included one - girlfriend and boyfriend Alex Gray and Tom Elderfield, mother and son Diane and Ross Carson and most recently sisters Armani and Maia Gouveia.

Filming is set to start in April, so finding two celebrities with a link, as well as availability could be tough!
