The popular morning time show was presented by well-known duo Holly and Phil for 14 years until it was rocked by scandalous affairs earlier this year.
Philip Schofield was forced to step down after it was revealed he had had an affair with a young man working on the show and after a few months of presenting solo, Holly decided to step down as well.
So it’s no doubt that the production team behind the show have had a rocky year, and they’re looking for some stability.
Since Philip and Holly’s departure, the show was been kept afloat by temporary presenters including Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson.
Now it looks like the hunt for a permanent Holly and Phil replacement has finally come to an end.
A source has told the Sun that Cat Deeley really impressed producers when she stepped in and that Ben is hugely popular with the housewives in particular.
While the pair have never presented the show alongside each other, it’s reported that there have been some screen tests behind the scenes and they captured the interest of the bosses with their chemistry.
Apparently negotiations are in the final stages and official confirmation will happen very soon.
The Kielty/Deeley household looks set to be a very busy one!
