Eastenders gets a return date
Life is slowly but surely getting back to normal, and today the BBC have confirmed a return date for Eastenders.
The soap will be back on our screens from Monday 7th September.
The show is currently in the middle of a twelve week break thanks to COVID-19.
This is the first time the hit series has gone interrupted in 35 years on air!
However, when Eastenders does return fans can expect a few changes.
Episodes will run for the shorter airtime of 20 minutes just four times a week.
This is to allow producers to spread out recorded content as much as possible.

Speaking on the news, Jon Sen, Executive Producer EastEnders said: 'From the moment we turned the lights out in The Queen Vic our ambition was to come back with a bang and this autumn certainly does that.'
'As soon as Albert Square reawakens the drama returns at a pace and, although working within social distancing guidelines has certainly given us some new challenges, I am incredibly proud of what everyone has achieved.'
Just 24 days to wait!
