We're on Angela's side here!
Strictly Come Dancing is back in action for this year, kicking off with the first episode of the 2023 series last weekend.
Our own Angela Scanlon is taking part this year and she's already one of the favourites to win.
However she's already had to respond to people claiming her participation is a "fix" because she's had professional Irish dancing training.
No, we're not kidding!
Our #Strictly class of 2023 is complete!

When people learnt that Angela had trained with the O'Shea Irish Dance Company back in 2001, she had to come out and say the obvious.
Speaking to The Daily Mail, the TV presenter said:
"Most people, you grow up in Ireland, you do Irish dancing. But I've never done ballroom, I've certainly never done a rumba or any of this style of dancing."
"You dance on your own and it's very stiff," she added.
We can't believe it has to be stated that knowing your aon-dó-trís give you any advantage in learning the Viennese Waltz!
Strictly Come Dancing will continue on BBC right up until Christmas and we'll be rooting for Angela the whole way through 👏
