The BAFTA Television awards took place in London last night, honouring the best work in British and international TV of the last year.

Top Boy, Happy Valley and The Sixth Commandment were the big winners on the night, taking home two awards apiece.

The popular Netflix series Top Boy took home the coveted award for best drama, as well as the award for best supporting actress to Jasmine Jonson who plays Jaq.

Happy Valley picked up the award for most memorable moment - an award that is voted for by the public rather than a panel of judges - while its leading star Sarah Lancashire was named best actress for a second time for her portrayal of no-nonsense police sergeant Catherine Cawood.

Watch her emotional acceptance speech below:

The Sixth Commandment picked up the awards for best limited drama and best actor for its star, Timothy Spall.

The biggest disappointment of the night came for the cast and crew of The Crown. Despite having the most nominations as it was up for 8 awards, the royal drama series left empty-handed.

Matthew Macfadyen won best supporting actor for his portrayal of Tom in the final series of Succession, while Strictly Come Dancing won the best entertainment prize as it also celebrates 20 years on the air.

Squid Game: The Challenge was named best reality TV series, and there was a surprise win in the best international series as French drama The Class Act beat out Succession and The Bear.
