G’wan Nicola!
Bridgerton 3 is on its way and this time it’s our own Nicola Coughlan taking centre stage.
The stylish and steamy period drama is created by Shonda Rimes (the woman also behind Grey's Anatomy) and based on the books by Julia Quinn.
Bridgerton first came to our screens in December 2020 and became a huge hit for Netflix amid as it followed the blossoming (and incredibly raunchy) romance between Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Deynevor) and Simon Bassett (Regé-Jean Page)
Similar to each book in the series, each season of the show follows a different member of the Bridgerton family, and this time it’s Penelope Featherington’s turn (aka Nicola Coughlan).
The synopsis for the latest series says that Penelope Featherington “has given up on her long-held crush... after hearing his disparaging words about her last season."
However, "she has decided it's time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters."
Part 1 of the Bridgerton Season 3 will be available to stream on Netflix from 16 May, with Part 2 following later on 13 June.
