For a while it was reported that 20 years on from the last one, we were getting another Legally Blonde film. Now it’s been confirmed that a TV spin-off is in the works instead.
Reese Witherspoon, the lead in the original films, will be at the centre of the project as her production company Hello Sunshine are creating the series.
They shared the exciting news on their socials over the weekend.

Not only does it have the original Elle Woods involved, the series is also being worked on by former Gossip Girl and The OC writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.
Sounds like a recipe for success!
The spin-off is in the very early stages of production so it’ll be another while before we hear word of where exactly the Legally Blonde story will go or what actors will be involved.
