Well, this is awkward.
Adele has revealed that most of her fans have been saying her name incorrectly all this time.
The 34-year-old singer appeared on the "Happy Hour With Adele" special where she was hosted by comedian Benito Skinner to sing songs and answer questions from fans.
After the music video for her song 'I Drink Wine' was played, one fan asked about her journey to writing 30, her latest studio album.
The fan, talking on a pre-recorded video, happened to nail the pronunciation of Adele's name, which immediately impressed the singer.
"Where's she from, Enfield? She said my name perfectly!"
Adele went on to clarify that her name is correctly said as "ud-dale" instead of "uh-dell", which is reflective of her North London roots.
In fairness, we think the difference is very subtle!
Adele is currently busy with an upcoming residency in Las Vegas running until March next year, but recently revealed she wants to take a break from music to study English at university.
