The US President is stopping all people from mainland Europe travelling to the United States for a month to try to fight the spread of coronavirus.
Donald Trump has blamed the EU for not acting quickly enough against the outbreak.
However Ireland and the UK aren't included.
There have been around 1,300 cases of covid-19 across the US, with 37 deaths.
During an address to the nation at the White House, the president said his team is "marshaling the full power" to protect their citizens.
His critics say it won't stop American citizens going to Europe, getting the virus, and the returning with it.
New York Parade
It's also been announced that New York City's annual St Patrick's Day Parade has been postponed over the virus. It's the first time the parade has been called off in its 258-year history.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says postponing the event's in the best interest of public health.
Tom Hanks Tests Positive
Elsewhere, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson have both tested positive for coronavirus.
The Oscar-winning actor is currently in Australia filming an upcoming Elvis Presley biopic.
Writing on social media, the 63 year-old said he felt like he had a cold, while Rita was suffering from chills.
While the basketball season in the US has been suspended.
Last night's game between the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA was postponed after a player tested positive.
The play-offs for one of the most watched sporting leagues in the world were due to start next month.
