Eight Irish tourist destinations have been named on a list of the best places to visit in the world.
The Wild Atlantic Way is the highest new entry in Lonely Planet's Top 500, coming in at number 21.
Seven other destinations on the island make the cut - including Giant's Causeway, the Ring of Kerry, the Connemara Peninsula and Trinity College Dublin.
Petra in Jordan has been named as the No1 place in the world to experience in the Lonely Planet Ultimate Travel list.
Trinity College reached number 423 on the list for what's described as its gorgeous Georgian buildings, sprawling grounds and wealth of treasures such as the world-famous Book of Kells.
