More than 50,000 children's toys have been destroyed over safety standards.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says the toys did not meet the EU and Irish safety regulations.
The seizures included teddy bears, toy guns, inflatables with small parts and battery-operated dogs.
People are being urged to check for safety before purchasing gifts this Christmas.
1. Look for the CE Mark
2. Always Buy from Reputable Retailers
3. Check for Detachable Parts Smaller than €2 Coin
4. Check the age range
5. Check for sharp edges, long cords or cables
