Toll charges will rise again from January.
It’s the second price hike in the space of a year.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland has announced a change to toll prices from January 1st for the M50, the Port Tunnel, and eight national roads .
The price for private cars on the M50 will go up by 20 centre - tagged cars will be charged €2.50, it'll rise to €3.10 for cars with video tolling, while others will have to pay €3.50.
Goods vehicles are facing a 30 cent increase. For large good vehicles, it's 40 cent.
The Port Tunnel toll charges for passenger cars will returning to 2009 levels for peak periods, increasing by €2 to €12 per trip.
On the M1 between Dublin and Belfast, M7/M8 roads from Dublin to Cork and Limerick, M8 to Portlaoise, N6 between Kinnegad and Galway, the N25 toll bridge between Rosslare and Waterford and the N18-LT Limerick to Galway road - prices will increase by 10 cent for motorbikes, 20 cent for cars and between 20 cent and 50 cent for large goods vehicles.
TII says it's basing the increases on the annual rate of inflation that was recorded at the end of August, which it put at 6.3%.
