Two more guns have been seized in Dublin following searches across the city.
On Friday, a man and a woman were arrested and a handgun and ammo was found in a car on the Old Navan Road.
Follow up searches conducted on Friday and Saturday, led to the discovery of a sub-machine gun and a sawn-off shotgun.
Both are undergoing ballistics tests by the Garda Technical Bureau.
Ammunition was also found, which will also undergo examinations.
The man in his 20s and woman in her 30s remain in Garda custody under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at a Garda station in Dublin.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
