Temple Street Children's Hospital staff have spoken out about the 'stress' they're under due to parking.
Two staff members, who did not want to be named, described the parking facilities around the hospital as 'terrible' and 'minimal'.
One of those travels in from North County Dublin and says every morning is 'stressful' to get a space.
She says the two car parks owned by Temple Street make for a 'tetris' situation, with everyone blocking each other in.
Healthcare staff in the hospital are under the impression they can park on two adjacent laneways due to the overflow.
One of the laneways Temple Street staff have been forced to park on but are now being ticketed or clamped.However, in recent weeks, Dublin City Council and their Parking Services division have been issuing tickets and clamps to staff parked there.
Dublin City Council responded to the query, outlining that a moratorium was put in place during the pandemic but that arrangement has now ceased.
Another Temple Street staff member says they put their name, number and clinic badge on the dashboard but it's now being ignored.
She travels in from Wicklow and says the situation is 'devastating' and staff are 'competing' for spaces every morning.
The two healthcare staff says it plays on their minds all day, as they wonder if they'll be punished or late home after a day's work on the wards.
