Secondary school teachers are to take industrial action.
From next Wednesday, members of the ASTI wonÂ’t attend any school meetings outside of normal hours.
TheyÂ’re also refusing to cover empty middle management positions, or co-operate with the new Junior Cycle Framework.
Teachers in the ASTI are the only public sector group to reject government plans to reduce pay and benefits, claiming theyÂ’ve given enough.
The Haddington Road Agreement has been set up to try and save €1BN from public sector wages by 2015.
