A Government TD says it's an insult to the live events sector that Croke Park can be half full this weekend but gigs still can't happen.
Marc MacSharry is one of a number of members of the Government to criticise the pace of reopening.
The Cabinet Sub-Committee has agreed a plan will be published on August 31st, not just for the live events sector, but for all of society.
It'll spell out how restrictions will be lifted between now and Christmas.
However many believe this to be too slow an approach, with Fianna Fáil TD Marc MacSharry saying current restrictions on live events don't make sense, while Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny believes more could be done to safely resume large events.
Arts Minister Catherine Martin is unhappy with the pace of reopening for her sector, and is still pushing to be allowed to make her case to the Cabinet Sub Committee on Covid next week.
