She's making music history!

Taylor Swift has been named as the Global Recording Artist of the Year 2024.

The news was confirmed by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), the organisation that represents the recorded music industry worldwide.

This is the 5th time that Taylor Swift has won the award – and the third consecutive year. The 'Anti-Hero' singer previously picked up the title in 2014, 2019, 2022, and 2023.

The release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, last April also helped her win four other IFPI awards: Global Album Chart, Global Vinyl Album Chart, Global Streaming Album Chart, and Global Album Sales Chart.

Just behind her on this year's IFPI list is the Canadian rapper Drake at number two and the South Korean boyband Seventeen at number three.

The American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish takes the fourth spot while K-Pop stars Stray Kids are in fifth.
