Taxi fares are set to increase by 4.5%.
The increase is being proposed because the cost of operating a taxi has risen by 4% since 2017.
The National Transport Authority also plans to make paying by card standard practice in all cabs.
The changes would take effect early next year, but taxi users are being invited to give feedback on the proposal.
According the 2019 Taxi User Survey, half of those asked said taxis are "generally good value for money".
40% of people surveyed said they had used a taxi in the last six months.
Taxi Fares Public Feedback
Taxi fares are reviewed roughly every two years.
Anne Graham, CEO of the National Transport Authority, said:
“With the potential fare increases in mind, we are now inviting the public to make submissions and let their views be heard on the proposed changes.”
The public consultation will be open at this link until the end of next month.
