The BusConnects corridor, that will connect Tallaght and Clondalkin to Dublin city centre, has got the green light.
It's the ninth dedicated bus lane to be approved as part of the overhaul of the bus network in the capital.
Almost a year after the decision was due, An Bord Pleanala has given the go ahead for the route.
The corridor will operate from the Square Shopping Centre in Tallaght and the Nangor Road in Clondalkin to near St Patrick's Cathedral in the city centre.
The 15.5 kilometre route will pass through areas including Walkinstown, Crumlin and Dolphin's Barn.
It's one of twelve priority bus lanes planned. Nine corridors have now been approved with another three still awaiting a decision.
