Dublin could see temperatures of up to 23 degrees today but swimmers are being advised to avoid a number of beaches.

Three day restrictions were issued yesterday for the likes of the Forty Foot, Sandycove and Killiney because of predicted heavy rain.

White Rock and Seapoint are also under the warning.

While water quality at Velvet Strand in Portmarnock may be affected for up to a week.

Paul Wynne from the Half Moon Swimming Club says warnings are being issued constantly;

"A lot of people are using the facilities around the bay, probably now than ever before and with constant warnings people will become cautious of getting into water."

More information is available from beaches.ie.
