More changes are emerging for parking in Dublin.
People who drive SUVs may have to pay more to park on the street.
Last week it emerged that the hourly rate for on street parking in Dublin will increase in all zones from next year.
Now, it's emerged the Council is also considering increasing the cost of residential parking permits and removing all free on street parking within the canals.
The Council is also thinking about charging SUVs higher parking charges.
The head of Traffic told the Irish Times councillors are concerned about high emissions vehicles and want ways to discourage ''big'' cars from driving into the city.
