A suspect device has been discovered in Dublin.
Residents in the area were evacuated during the incident on the Sallynoggin Road just after 9.30am.
Gardaí and the Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended the scene.
They have since removed the device and destroyed it at a nearby location.
In a statement, gardai say: "Gardaí attended an incident at a property on the Sallynoggin Road, Sallynoggin, shortly after 9:30am this morning, Wednesday 2nd February 2022.
"A suspect device was sighted in the area and Gardaí were alerted to the incident. The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) attended the scene and have since removed it and destroyed it at a nearby location."
