Students at UCD won't have to social distance when they return to lectures next month.
Colleges across the country are finalising their plans for the return to in-person classes.
Most students haven't been able to set foot on campus since the pandemic started.
But UCD has announced plans aiming to get back to normality.
Students will have to wear masks in indoor areas - including classes - and lecture times will be reduced to 45 minutes.
But there's no requirement for social distancing - with full-size lectures of up to 500 people returning.
Ruairi Power, president of UCD Students Union, says online learning is essentially being phased out.
Clare Austick, president of the Union of Students in Ireland, says other colleges need to communicate their plans immediately.
UCD says most students and employees will be fully vaccinated by the start of term - which will reduce the risk of Covid spreading.
