The release date for Stranger Things season 3 has been announced. The hit show will return to Netflix on July 4th.
The streaming service announced the news on New Year's Day with an image of the cast with fireworks.

Netflix also released a video containing footage of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in 1985.
The series will be set in the summer of 1985 - six months after the events of season two which saw the Hawkins Lab shut down.
Millie Bobbie Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Winona Ryder and David Harbour will all return.
Last month, Netflix revealed the titles of the eight brand new episodes.

The first teaser trailer for season 3 of the show premiered back in July.
The clip shows Steve in a mall with his co-worker Robin who is played by Maya Hawke.

Season 1 and 2 of Stranger Things are available to watch now on Netflix.
