It means people that have left the workforce to raise children won't have a gap on their CV.
It's one of a number of new features added to LinkedIn for Irish users.
Stay at home mom, stay at home dad, parent and homemaker, have all been added as job titles to the social network.
The new feature will allow users to accurately reflect their time spent away from the workforce.
LinkedIn has also added a new name pronunciation feature which allows you to upload an audio recording of how to pronounce your name.
You can now add your gender pronouns and upload a video cover story that showcases your skills, career goals and expertise.
