David Moyes feels that retrospective punishment should be introduced for diving players such as Manchester United winger Ashley Young.
The United boss revealed today that he had a word with Young after he was booked for diving against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
It isnÂ’t the first time the former Aston Villa player has been booked for the offence but it seems his new boss is determined to stamp it out.
Speaking ahead of his first Champions League game as United boss Moyes said, “You can never be sure it won’t happen again but I’ve had a word with him privately.”
I’ve said for many years I think it’s something that, you know diving, we should have retrospective video for diving. I think that would help referees no end.”
The Red Devils host Bayer Leverkusen tomorrow night.
