Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been charged by the FA over an alleged gesture made during the game with Manchester City on Saturday.
The midfielder was caught on camera giving the middle finger at the Etihad on Saturday.
The incident went unnoticed by match officials but was caught on video and assessed by the FA retrospectively.
The 21-year-old has until 6 o'clock on Wednesday to respond to the charge.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admitted in his post-match press conference that the club would accept any ban handed out "if he did it".
Wilshere is now likely to miss the visit of Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium next Monday.
