West Ham manager David Moyes claims Saturday evening's trip to Liverpool will be less imposing due to them playing in an empty Anfield.
August 2015 was the last time the Hammers claimed all three points at the home of the Premier League champions.
The Hammers have only claimed one point from their subsequent four visits, but Moyes feels his side has as good a chance as ever to change that record.
"Probably the biggest thing going up to play Liverpool is without supporters," the Scot told his Friday press conference, "Their support makes such a difference, with no crowd behind them hopefully that might make a difference as well."
West Ham make the trip to Merseyside without their big centre-forward Michail Antonio.
The 30-year old has failed to recover in time from a hamstring injury.
Antonio has scored three Premier League goals this season, and all coming against high calibre opposition (Arsenal, Leicester City, Manchester City).
Moyes has equated his loss with that of talismanic Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, "I think so but we have really been showing a great team ethic. We have been scoring goals from all different areas, we have been playing well as a team but I am sure Liverpool will be saying the same about that as well.
"Of course we will miss him, since we came back down from lockdown I think Michaiul has been as important as any striker in the league."
Liverpool are without long-term absentee Van Dijk, and his recent deputy Fabinho for the Hammers' visit.
West Ham are a team in decent form as well, having beaten Leicester 3-0, and drawn their most recent games with both Tottenham and Manchester City.
Moyes feels his team are going "in the right direction", and was asked if the Liverpool game will be their toughest of the season so far, "Well on paper you are playing the Champions so it is always a tough game but the last three games we will have played will have been away at Tottenham, at home to City and away at Liverpool so you have to say, when we saw the fixtures it was always going to be difficult but we have to make the most of it.
"We play all the teams twice so that’s the way they fall and we are in a good place, the players have confidence, the results make a big difference and I hope the players can go and show it this weekend."
