Stanislas Wawrinka claimed his first ever Grand Slam title in the last hour as he beat Rafa Nadal to win the Australian Open.
Wawrinka took the opening two sets 6-3, and 6-2 and looked set for victory. Nadal was then struck with back spasms and had to return to the locker room for physio.
The rub down obviously worked, as Nadal broke Wawrinka in the opening game of the third set. The Spaniard went on to win the set 6-3 and looked to be right back in the contest.
But from then on, looked to be in considerable agony and seemed to be fighting through the pain barrier just to finish the match.
Wawrinka won the final set 6-3, to become just the second Swiss man to win a Grand Slam singles title after 17-time champion Roger Federer.
