It finished, St. Lomans 9 points St. Vincents 11 points.
But the Dublin champions did well to hang on after captain Ger Brennan was sent off after just 6 minutes.
Tommy Conroy had complained during the week that his side had such little preparation time, as they only lifted the Dublin championship on Wednesday evening.
But a fine second half performance from their forward line, with Mossy Quinn the main threat.
