Louis van Gaal needs to deliver success to Manchester United this season.
That’s the message from Dutch legend Ruud Gullit.
United make the trip to Villa Park this evening in the Barclay’s Premier League to take on Aston Villa.
The Red Devils started the season with an unconvincing 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
Van Gaal has added midfielders Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, attacker Memphis Depay, defender Matteo Darmian and goalkeeper Sergio Romero to his squad this summer.
That follows spending of almost €200 million last summer.
And van Gaal’s countryman Gullit told 98FM Sport that United need something to show for the spending this season:
Carlsberg ambassador and former Ballon d'Or winner Gullit showcased the Premier League trophy to fans in Dublin earlier this week.
