Trent Alexander-Arnold included in England's Euro 2020 squad

England manager Gareth Southgate has included Trent Alexander-Arnold in his 26-man squad for Euro 2020.

The Liverpool full-back's place had been cast in serious doubt after he was omitted from the squad for March's World Cup qualifiers with San Marino, Albania and Poland.

But a late season upturn in form, coupled with his potential to play in midfield, has seen Alexander-Arnold make Southgate's Euro squad.

Harry Maguire also makes the cut, despite the Manchester United defender nursing an ankle ligament injury.

Mason Greenwood, Jesse Lingard, James Ward-Prowse, Aaron Ramsdale, Ben Godfrey, and Ollie Watkins are the players named in Southgate's provisional squad who do not make the cut.

Greenwood was forced to pull out with an underlying injury problem.

England's Group D campaign begins against Croatia at Wembley on June 13, before Scotland visit the same venue four-days later.

They finish off the group phase with a game against the Czech Republic on June 22.

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson, Sam Johnstone, Jordan Pickford

Midfielders: Jude Bellingham, Jordan Henderson, Mason Mount, Kalvin Philips, Declan Rice
