Tottenham Hotspur striker Heung Min Son has won the Premier League's goal of the season award for his effort against Burnley last December.

In the first half of the game, South Korean international Son took the ball on the edge of his own area before sprinting the length of the pitch and finishing past Clarets goalkeeper Nick Pope.

In doing so, he evaded six Burnley players and skipped past two of them in advance of a cool finish.

It was the highlight of a 5-0 win for Spurs in the match at the new White Hart Lane in one of manager Jose Mourinho's first games in charge.

Son covered 71.4 metres in just 11 seconds and comes out on top of a shortlist of nine to take the Budweiser sponsored award.

Back in December, Son described the goal as follows:

"As soon as I got the ball, I tried to find a pass and I was a bit lucky. I dribbled into the space where no one was.

"I tried to finish it well because the action before was really quick. I was really focused on my finishing. It was an amazing feeling."

It was one of 18 goals scored by the 28-year-old last season, but this was clearly the best, and possibly the most outstanding moment of his career.
