Throughout this remarkable World Cup so far, we have had some great moments on the pitch as well as off it. With so many former stars having a say on every moment, a few were bound to have their moment on social media. Looking at the best moments off the pitch in the World Cup,  we have the top five best punditry moments so far.

 5) Roy Keane claims to dislike the amount of attention he receives. For a man with no interest in the media he spends a lot of time on television,  the originator of hot takes and cutting one liners he hit top form early on when analysing Iran. Keano proved he is the only man that can use a single word to separate a compliment and a threat. This is peak Keano on ITV

4) Rufus Creek in Wentworth, Australia was the scene of a massacre of Aboriginals that took place in 1841. 30 people died on that day, it was no doubt weighing heavy on the mind of Peter Shilton when he appeared on Sky Sports to speak about England’s Ruben Loftus Cheek.

3) Brian Kerr’s ability to inform and entertain is unrivaled, the Dubliner’s masterful telling of anecdotes and his encyclopedic knowledge of sports has been one of the highlights of the World Cup. RTÉ trumps the Beeb and England TV anytime Mr Kerr is providing co-comm.

2) Slaven Bilic has provided entertainment to ITV viewers, stroking Roy Keane’s arm and mugging off Martin O’Neill were funny, the admission that he actually couldn’t care less about a contentious call was TV gold for all the wrong reasons

1) Eamon Dunphy is one of the most experienced analysts on TV, he has courted controversy for decades and his divisive opinions make for must watch TV. Hated, adored, Dunphy can never be ignored.  Despite his decades of experiences this rookie mistake was my Top TV moment of the World Cup so far.
