Tommy Walsh has retired from inter-county hurling.
The Kilkenny legend won nine All Ireland senior titles, nine Leinster titles and seven National League titles since joining the panel in 2002.
He's also the only man to have won nine All-Stars in-a-row, a feat he achieved in five different positions between 2003 and 2011.
In a statement, Walsh said he had “the time of my life, lived my dream and have memories that will stay with me forever”.
He also thanked his teammates, as well as Kilkenny manager Brian Cody “for his loyalty throughout all my years with Kilkenny and for believing in me as a player”.
