Tim Sherwood was handed the perfect Christmas present last night, as he was named as the new Tottenham manager.
The former Spurs midfielder received an 18 month deal.
Sherwood was named interim boss after the sacking of Andre Villas Boas. It wasn't an ideal start however, as Tottenham were defeated in his opening game in charge at home to West Ham in the league cup.
But the north London club looked impressive at the weekend winning 3-2 away to Southampton. Supporters began to back Sherwood, after his attacking style was in stark contrast to that of AVB.
Danny Rose then publicly stated that he wanted to see Sherwood get the job.
Tottenham Daniel Levy has decided to stay away from the big names that were linked with the job, with Louis van Gaal being the favourite with the bookies up until yesterday.
