Aaron Ramsey has been forced to pull out of Wales' Nations League games with the Republic of Ireland and Finland this month.

The Juventus midfielder has withdrawn from the squad due to a thigh injury he picked up in their Champions League win over Ferencvaros last night.

"Aaron Ramsey, who was substituted off during last night’s match, was subjected to examinations at J | Medical this morning," the Italian club announced.

"It revealed a low-grade injury to the rectus femoris muscle of the right thigh. In 10 days it will be re-evaluated again."

Injuries have hampered the former Arsenal player's international career, Ramsey's made only two starts for Wales in the last two years.

Rob Page will take charge of Wales for the games against Ireland and Finland as well as their friendly against the USA, after their manager Ryan Giggs was arrested.

Giggs had previously named the squad for the upcoming matches.
