After Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid last week, there has been plenty of soul-searching in Paris about the PSG "project" and where it's headed.
French football writer Julien Laurens is well versed in the travails of PSG. Ahead of the Totally Football Show podcast's live event at Vicar Street on March 19th, he joined me on Team 33 to talk about Paris as a football city and how PSG are trying to build an aura in their city and beyond the ring roads of the French capital.
We discussed the relationship between Paris and football and PSG's attempts to build the infrastructure of a true super club including the stadium question and finally making the most of the rich talent pool of players in the Paris suburb region.
