Swansea City are out of Europe.
The Swans exit the Europa League at the round of 32 stage after losing 3-1 to Napoli in Naples to go out 3-1 on aggregate.
Napoli took an early lead through Lorenzo Insigne but Swansea were an attacking force and deservedly equalised through their Dutch midfielder Jonathan De Guzman.
But, as happens so often in these circumstances, City backed off and retreated into their shell in the second half relying on the occasional counter attack.
And their timidity was punished by Napoli with Gonzalo Higuain pouncing for their crucial second twelve minutes from the end.
Napoli keeper Pepe Reina pulled off a tremendous save from a Dwight Tiendalli header but it was Gokhan Inler who rubbed salt in the Swansea wounds with an injury time wrapper upper.
