Shamrock Rovers head coach Stephen Bradley feels a terrible refereeing decision cost them in the Dublin derby.

The Hoops lost 1-0 to Bohemian FC on Monday night in a game that changed when the visitors were reduced to 10 men on 29 minutes.

Aaron Greene was given a straight red for a late challenge on Keith Ward.

Bradley spoke to OffTheBall.com’s Jamie Moore after the game: "I thought we were fully in control of the game until the sending off, felt it was a terrible decision to send him off, I was standing right in front of it."

"I thought we played really well in large patches, it’s never a sending off it’s not even a booking Aaron doesn’t touch him.

"The ref was giving a yellow and the fourth official was the one that said red card.

"It doesn’t matter what side makes the tackle it’s still not a red card or a yellow card get on with the game, I thought it was poor.

"I thought up until the sending off we were excellent, we moved them about, we were the only team playing, we looked really good, the sending off shook us for a few minutes but we settled again."

Dinny Corcoran got the winner from the spot after Ward was fouled by Ronan Finn. Bradley didn’t get a good look at the incident, but admits the players felt it was soft:

"I’m too far away to see it but from speaking to the players he hasn’t touched him.

"The fans are brilliant but it’s hard when the referee makes a decision like that after 20 odd minutes in a game like that, it’s a ridiculous decision and it kills the game."
