Shamrock Rovers' “B” team could be facing the axe.
Hoops manager Pat Fenlon is examining the structures of the club ahead of next season.
And he's admitted that the future of the B side, which plays in the First Division of the SSE Airtricity League, is “up for discussion”.
“It’s a big expense for the club”, says Fenlon, “but if there are plusses as well, we have to look at that”.
The new boss admitted they would make a decision on the future of the “B” team “in the next week or two”.
The reserve side was admitted to the league at the start of this season.
