Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has come out swinging at critics after his lackluster display in his club’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.
The stage was set for Pogba to shine as all eyes were trained on him before the game even kicked off at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The club aligned with Twitter to launch the Paul Pogba emoji, he even got the mop chopped for the occasion.
Pogba’s appearance was only notable because it was substandard.
His contribution to the occasion was a handball that led to James Milner’s penalty giving the visitors a 1-0 lead, which was cancelled out by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Pogba made use of an emoji to respond to the critics, this time it was the poo/chocolate pudding symbol as opposed to the one that his created in his likeness on twitter.
“Shit happens,” the midfielder wrote in instagram.
“That's when we need be strong. I'm here, ready to fight and ready for the next one!!! I'd like to thank the supporters who are always there and keep believing in me. At least we did not lose. Never stop fighting”
