After withdrawing from the running for the vacant Celtic manager's position, Roy Keane appears to have another job lined up.
Keane has reportedly been in talks with Aston Villa about becoming assistant manager to Paul Lambert. It's thought the number two position at Villa Park would also allow him to continue to assist Martin O'Neill with the Republic of Ireland.
Villa are without a full-time assistant following the sacking late last season of Ian Culverhouse amid allegations of bullying. Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given and Villa youth team boss Gordon Cowans were briefly promoted to assist Lambert in Villa's final games of last season.
Keane is still expected to join up with the Republic of Ireland squad today ahead of a trip to the United States for friendlies with Costa Rica and Portugal.
He's also withdrawn from ITV's panel of pundits for the World Cup.
