Rory McIlroy has started the year the way he wants to carry on.
The former world number 1 rattled off an excellent round of 63 at the Dubai Desert Classic.
McIlroy carded 9 under and has a two shot lead ahead of the Italian Edoardo Molinari.
Another Irishman who performed well is Damien McGrane who's three shots off the lead on 6 under.
