The chief executive of the Premier League has confirmed they hope to play the final two rounds of the season in front of up to 10,000 fans.
A round of fixtures will need to be moved to fall after the 17th of May - when the UK's government's roadmap out of lockdown will potentially allow that to happen.
"From the beginning of next season our goal is to have full stadia," Richard Masters told Sky Sports News.
"The Government's road map offers us that opportunity. There is a lot of water to pass under the bridge before then but that's our goal.
"A lot of things have got to happen in the right order to get there but we think it's an achievable goal."
Masters also revealed that the pandemic will have cost the English top flight almost 2 billion pounds.
“There have been very significant financial losses, not just in the Premier League but throughout the football pyramid.
“Towards the end of this season, we’ll get towards 2-billion lost since the start of the pandemic in matchday revenue and broadcast revenue.”
He added the current campaign has been tough on players, with a hectic schedule in order to get completed in time for this summer's delayed Euro 2020.
“This feels more like a marathon. The schedule that we have put in front of the players and the clubs is pretty brutal."
