The Bray lightweight said after her win over Rose Volante last month that she wanted the last of the world titles: "I have the three belts, she’s got the WBC belt. We have to get the fight on, I want to become unified champion. "
Persoon's manager Filiep Tampere has promised Taylor "the hardest fight of her life" but did fall short of predicting a win for the Belgian.
Persoon has held the WBC strap since 2014 with a points win over Argentina's Erica Farias. The 34-year-old has only ever fought once outside Belgium and that was in Switzerland. Taylor has already had five fights in the US and this will be her fourth outing in New York.

Taylor is well-used to the big occasion and the pressure that comes with it but the 32-year-old won't look past Persoon, even if it's a fight the former Olympic champion is heavy favourite to win.
